The owner is Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, owner of the popular Thai restaurant chain “Thai Kitchen.”
Thai Kitchen has been in business since 1999, with her first location being in Maryland Heights, MO. However, she sold that location many years ago and remains in business today. However, Ongartutthikul lives in Maryland Heights and wants to return to the community. She changed the name to Thai Mama to avoid confusion with the existing location. The address of the new location is 1932 McKelvey.
Ongartsutthikul will open Sasi Market at 1924 McKelvey and sell Thai food products and fresh produce. She is starting Sasi Wholesale to supply her five restaurants and reduce costs.
